かつてはただの無害なリバックスであったランペイジは、沼地のシャーマンであるモーリゲシュの呪いによって永遠に変わってしまった。フェイとの戦いのさなか、彼女が解き放った歪んだ呪いは逃げ去るその生物に誤って命中し、怒りで満たされたそれを巨大な獣へと変貌させてしまったのだ。

ランペイジは The Twilight Band の奥地へと逃げ込み、激しい攻撃性を持つ恐るべき存在として語り継がれる伝説となった。数多の者が捕らえようと試みたが、誰一人として成功した者はいない。

本来のものではない感情に苛まれ続けるランペイジの怒りは尽きることなく響き渡る――それはモーリゲシュの怨嗟の生ける具現であり、怪物の皮に永遠に閉じ込められた存在なのだ。
